Ning Review began with a small annoyance that would not go away: the twenty minutes wasted pasting dead promo codes into a checkout box, one after another, until the cart finally gave up and charged full price. We decided the problem was not a shortage of discount listings on the internet, but a shortage of anyone willing to check them. So that became the job. Today a small editorial team spends its working hours inside shopping carts, confirming which offers are real, and publishing only what survives.

Choosing which retailers to cover comes before any code is tested. A shop earns a page here when it ships reliably, answers its customers, states return conditions in plain language, and runs promotions that are worth a reader’s attention rather than a permanent fake sale. Suggestions arrive from readers, from merchant newsletters, and from the affiliate networks we belong to, but none of those sources buys a listing. If a brand’s reputation slips or its offers turn into empty theatre, its page comes down, and that decision is never for sale.

Verification itself is deliberately unglamorous. A reviewer loads a genuine basket at the merchant’s own site, applies the code, and records exactly what happened: the amount deducted, the minimum spend, excluded categories, whether it stacks, and the date of the attempt. That timestamp sits on the listing so you can judge how fresh the information is. Expired entries are removed on sight instead of being quietly left to pad the page, and any offer we cannot reproduce ourselves never reaches you. We do earn commission when a reader buys through some of our links, which keeps the site free — but a commission has never persuaded us to keep a broken code online.
